AQUA STAR was formed in 2005 with a concept and a total of three employees. The concept was to build the world’s best underwater scooter; one that could be used by virtually anyone and done so safely. To bring the experience of undersea exploration to anyone wanting to enjoy experience.
One whole year and countless hours were spent in the design and development which culminated with the design of the AS1 model. After having had experience with similar products from others and studying their design, we strove to avoid their flaws to create a lightweight, reliable, affordable underwater vehicle. To accomplish this we developed our own approach in solving many problems.
By the end of 2006 the number of employees had grown to include designers, sculptors, artists, plastics specialists, and assembly workers; all of whom are dedicated enthusiasts who know their trade and strive for the best.
Confident with the quality and performance of the AS1, we started the assembly of the first Russian underwater scooter in 2007. Wanting our products to be the very best, we searched the world over for the best systems and components available to match our design. Our servo motors come from the United States. Our underwater breathing apparatus was sourced from France. And so on.
Many more performance and endurance tests were carried out with numerous adjustments and system trials were performed. By the end of summer in2007 the motorbike was ready to be presented to the general public. The first presentation of “AQUA STAR” was made on September the 18th in Gelendzhik. Six months later the company “AQUA STAR” launched its first sales of the AS1
Satisfied with the performance and seeing the need for a scooter with more capacity, AQUA STAR designed, developed, and launched the world’s first two-seater apparatus designated the model AS2. At the beginning of 2009, the apparatus was presented to the general public. The purpose of this project was to create a scooter which could be operated by a professional guide or used by a couple or family with children. The passenger could be anybody willing to plunge into the beauty of the underwater without having to be the operator.
For those who would like to walk underwater and experience the same feeling as those of an astronaut landing on the moon, we have developed a special underwater helmet. An unusual fabulous sense of low gravity will make you move underwater by jumping, as if you were on the moon. Flat glass enables a perfect visibility range.
